Myths & Mischief
An in-person TTRPG actual play filmed in Calgary, Alberta, where fantasy, theatre, chaos, and very questionable decision-making meet around the table.
Welcome to Myths & Mischief, a Logomancy Media actual play series set in a homebrewed fantasy world created by Mischief Master David.
The story begins in Avelstadt, a sprawling art deco city inspired by New York at the turn of the 20th century, if that city also had magic, guild politics, hidden tunnels, strange monsters, and enough secrets to ruin several dinner parties.
Five Mischief Makers bring their characters to the table, each with custom tweaks designed to help the world feel alive, dangerous, dramatic, and deeply weird in all the right ways.
Filmed in person in Calgary, Alberta, Myths & Mischief brings a different energy to the Logomancy table. Less webcam grid. More shared glances, bad ideas, physical dice, table chaos, and the kind of storytelling that only happens when everyone is in the same room.
Where to Watch?
Myths & Mischief will premiere first on Twitch, with episodes arriving on YouTube the next day.
About the Game
Welcome to Avelstadt
The first chapter of Myths & Mischief takes place in Avelstadt, a city of polished brass, old stone, guild power, backroom deals, and magic threaded through the machinery of everyday life.
Avelstadt is not a kingdom of distant castles and quiet villages. It is a living city. A loud city. A complicated city. Its streets are crowded, its politics are messy, and its secrets are stacked beneath the cobblestones in layers.
Inspired by the energy of New York at the turn of the 20th century, Avelstadt blends art deco grandeur with fantasy adventure. It is a place of ambition, invention, corruption, community, and danger. A city where people build impossible things, bury inconvenient truths, and convince themselves the whole thing is perfectly normal.
This is where our story begins…
What kind of show is this?
Myths & Mischief is a tabletop roleplaying actual play focused on character-driven storytelling, big emotional swings, questionable plans, and the kind of chaos that happens when a group of theatre kids, storytellers, creators, and longtime players are trusted with dice.
Expect dramatic reveals.
Expect jokes at the worst possible moment.
Expect characters who were definitely supposed to be fine.
Expect David to make something everyone immediately regrets asking about.
At its heart, Myths & Mischief is a story about people trying to survive a city that is much bigger, older, and stranger than they understand.
Your Mischief Master
David
The Table
David is one of the founding members of Logomancy Media and one half of the ownership team. He has been playing Dungeons & Dragons since he was eight, when his uncle insisted he should never bother learning 3rd Edition and should instead learn 2nd Edition, which was apparently much, much better. Since then, David has run and played games across D&D 3.5e, D&D 5e, D&D 5.5e, Pathfinder, Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder, SW5e, and a handful of other systems picked up through curiosity, poor impulse control, or both.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a Dungeon Master, and even longer spent writing stories, David is excited to bring Avelstadt to life and throw his friends into the consequences of his worldbuilding.
He is also responsible for any weird shirts in the merch store. Please feel free to blame him.
The Mischief Makers
Mack as [CHARACTER NAME]
-
Mack is one of the original creators involved with Logomancy Media, having played in both Deliver the Dawn, the original 12-hour livestream that helped start it all, and the original Naylore games as Quill.
Longtime Logomancy viewers may still recognize Quill and his stuffed toy Lou, both of whom continue to live on as emojis across the Twitch channel and Discord.
Mack brings decades of experience as a player, game master, and storyteller, and a passion for making cool websites.
Expect him to bring a character who feels like they should be a joke, right up until they become the heart of the game.

Neon as Calliope O’Nuallain
-
Neon has been playing with Logomancy for years and previously ran the critically acclaimed Shattered Future, played in the Emergent system.
She has been running games and playing TTRPGs for well over a decade, bringing a sharp sense of drama, deep character work, and a theatre background to the table. Neon also has plenty of experience hosting games and building stories that know exactly when to twist the knife.
Having shared many tables with David over the years, she knows how to bring characters who are emotionally rich, narratively dangerous, and absolutely capable of making everyone at the table feel things.
Which is rude, honestly, but very effective.

Kaela as Velvet
-
Kaela is a newer addition to the Logomancy Media family, but she has already made a serious impression.
She is the host of Roll for Insight, an upcoming tabletop experience focused on conversations with mental health professionals through the lens of TTRPGs. A longtime cosplayer, pin-up artist, theatre kid, singer, and TTRPG fiend, Kaela brings a wide range of creative skills to the table.
With a strong sense of performance, style, and character, Kaela is the kind of player who can draw you in quickly and then make you deeply concerned about what her character is going to do next.

Tory as M Silentr
-
Tory is the brilliant mind behind Off the Beaten Path: An Epic Musical, an interactive musical experience where audience choices shape the story, influence the endings, and probably create at least a little bit of panic behind the scenes.
He brings years of experience as a player, Dungeon Master, performer, and all-around theatre extraordinaire. Expect voices. Expect commitment. Expect a truly remarkable character brought to life with theatrical flair and a dangerous amount of enthusiasm.
Tory has also appeared on Logomancy Media’s Roll for Beer, where he talked about the show, creativity, performance, and the particular joy of making something wonderfully strange.

Nathan as Earnest Hunley
-
Nathan is the newest addition to the Myths & Mischief table and the Logomancy Media family.
A talented player with professional improv experience, Nathan brings quick thinking, strong instincts, and the ability to make a moment land whether it is dramatic, funny, strange, or some deeply concerning combination of all three.
More details about Nathan and Earnest Hunley will be revealed soon, but we are already excited to have him at the table.

Merch
Wear the Mischief
The official Myths & Mischief merch collection is where the table jokes, cursed ideas, character moments, and deeply unnecessary David-created shirt concepts eventually become everyone else’s problem.
As the show grows, this section will feature shirts, stickers, accessories, and other merch tied to the world of Avelstadt, the Mischief Makers, and the moments that escape containment during the campaign.
Some designs will be stylish.
Some will be lore-rich.
Some will exist because David was allowed near the merch store unsupervised.
You have been warned.
Sponsors, Partners & Collaborators
Friends of the Table
Throughout production, Myths & Mischief will be collaborating with businesses, creatives, makers, and community partners who help bring the show to life.
Some partnerships may be sponsored. Some may be affiliate-based. Some may simply come from people making very cool things that belong near a table full of dice goblins.
More details will be announced soon.
